Marvel is here to spread some early holiday happiness with our favourite band of space-faring misfits from the MCU, just in time for the most lovely time of the year. All-new footage from the forthcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: The Holiday Special has been revealed. James Gunn, who wrote and directed the previous two Guardians of the Galaxy films, is back in both of those duties for the upcoming holiday special. Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Vin Diesel as Groot, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, and Gillan as Nebula will all be included in the forthcoming special.
Gunn has hinted that the next Holiday Special would “introduce one of the greatest MCU characters of all time,” however he has been cagey about providing any plot information. The clip also confirms that Kevin Bacon will be appearing in the Christmas special, which is guaranteed to elicit a few hearty giggles thanks to his hilariously frantic entrance. It appears that he did not anticipate a break-in by the Guardians. With the publication of The Holiday Special at the end of 2022, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will have had a fantastic and busy year.
There have been a few projects that included the Guardians, in addition to the announcement of Phases 5 and 6 of the multimedia franchise and the release of films and series like She-Hulk, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Werewolf by Night, among others. Among these is Thor: Love and Thunder and the Disney+ cartoon I Am Groot. Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), who will make his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, is among the future Guardians of the Galaxy-centric projects, alongside The Holiday Special. The time between Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 will be filled with this holiday special.
On November 25, Disney+ will debut Guardians of the Galaxy: The Holiday Special, and on May 5, 2023, audiences will be able to see Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3.
