This is a reworking of a story by B.A. The Breakdown, based on the best-selling novel by Paris, has commenced production in the United Kingdom. Blackwater Lane is a psychological thriller starring Dermot Mulroney, Maggie Grace, and Minka Kelly. The movie will revolve around a woman who drives by a stranded motorist and includes otherworldly aspects. The news of the motorist’s death has left the woman fearing that she may be the next victim. Currently, Jeff Celentano is in charge of directing Blackwater Lane.
The movie’s producers are Elizabeth Fowler, Warren Ostergard, and Lucinda Thakrar. Filmmaker Anna Fowler said, “Blackwater Lane is an intelligent female-driven thriller set in the British countryside with lots of layers and a very modern twist. I am hugely excited to work with Jeff, Minka, Maggie, and Dermot on B.A. Paris’ chilling, entertaining, and adrenaline-fueled story that I think will engage audiences worldwide.” The Breakdown, by B.A. Paris was featured on the New York Times and Sunday Times bestseller lists. Paris has millions of fans around the world thanks to the success of her 2016 debut novel Behind Closed Doors, which has sold close to 4 million copies worldwide and been translated into 40 languages. Kelly has starred in a number of blockbuster movies in the 2010s, including The Roommate, Just Go With It, and The Butler.
She can currently be seen on Titans and in the critically acclaimed HBO film Euphoria. Grace is best known for her role as Liam Neeson’s daughter in the Taken films. She has also appeared in the Twilight series, Lost, and Fear the Walking Dead. The release date for Blackwater Lane has not yet been set.
