Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, the new spin-off series from Peacock, has got a first peek gallery. For all six episodes of the series, Adam Devine will be back as Bumper. Executive producing Bumper in Berlin is Elizabeth Banks, who produced all three Pitch Perfect films and directed the second film in the series. After one of Bumper Allen’s songs becomes a hit in Berlin, the show will follow him as he relocates there. Ten brand new photos have been released for Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, and they look like they’ll do the spin-off series credit. Many of the photos depict Devine as Bumper having a good time in Berlin with his friends, such as when he slides down a sack on a slide, plays the piano outside with a potential love interest, and records music in a studio.
There is also an image of Jameela Jamil and Flula Borg, who play former romantic partners, in the gallery. In sum, the pictures should offer viewers more than plenty to swoon over until the programme premieres on Peacock. Sarah Hyland and Lera Abova also feature in Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin alongside Adam Devine, Anna Borg, and Jamia Jamil. Jamil will portray Pieter Krämer, a former capella star turned competitor of Bumper’s, while Borg will play Pieter Krämer’s manager, Pieter Krämer. Hyland will portray Heidi, an uncomfortable American assistant to Bumper and Pieter who secretly longs to be a famous singer. Thea Krämer, portrayed by Abova, is a famous DJ and the sister of the protagonist, Pieter Krämer. Megan Amram, author of The Good Place, will be Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin’s showrunner. The show’s directors are Todd Strauss-Schulson, Richie Keen, and Maureen Bharoocha, while Strauss-Schulson and Keen also play the roles of executive producers.
Devine co-stars with Banks, Max Handelman, Paul Brooks, and Scott Neimeyer as executive producers; she also has that role. Upon the debut of Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Banks sent a statement to the media reading, “Think about it: it’s been almost 15 years since we first learned about Mickey Rapkin’s novel, and since then we’ve seen three amazing movies and a television series. This narrative has taken on a life of its own that we never could have predicted. We wanted Bumper in Berlin to feel familiar to longtime viewers thanks to the show’s trademark irreverent humour and fantastic music, while also providing a whole new experience.
While paying tribute to the original Pitch Perfect cast and the amazing work they did on “The Barden Bellas,” we set out to create a new and wonderfully offbeat character arc. The characters in this novel learn the value of second chances, the power of friendship, and the belief that it is never too late to make your goals a reality, no matter where you are or how old you are. It was immediately apparent that Megan Amram understood our vision, and that she could bring the entire Berliner environment and its people to live in a way that no one else could.” On November 23rd, Peacock will release the whole six-episode Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin.
