Cherry Jones, Luis Guzmán, Hong Chau, and Reed Birney have joined the cast of Peacock’s Poker Face, according to Deadline. Natasha Lyonne’s show is getting four new cast members. The 10-episode anthology series is Rian Johnson’s first foray into television after his successful feature films Knives Out and Star Wars. Although the story and characters are being kept under wraps, the show keeps adding A-listers to its impressive cast. Nora Zuckerman and Lilla Zuckerman will act as showrunners, while Johnson will be responsible for the series’ writing, creation, and direction. In addition, he is recognised for his role as Vice President Donald Blythe on the Netflix series House of Cards.
In addition to his upcoming role as Gomez Addams on Netflix’s Wednesday series, Guzmán has appeared in such films as Boogie Nights, Out of Sight, Magnolia, and Punch-Drunk Love. Currently, Johnson is getting ready to promote Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, the sequel to his Oscar-winning film Knives Out. Cast members Ethan Hawke, Edward Norton, Madeline Cline, Jessica Henwick, and more return, including Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc. The filmmaker, together with Lyonne, Nora, and Lilla Zuckerman, will serve as executive producers for Poker Face.
