A world of police corruption and intrigue awaits you. The first photo from John Stalberg Jr.’s forthcoming action thriller Muzzle, starring Aaron Eckhart (who was nominated for a Golden Globe), has been revealed. The latest photo has Eckhart and his K-9 companion, with a squad of police officers standing in the background and staring. The protagonist, played by Aaron Eckhart, is an LAPD K-9 officer named Jake Rosser, who must determine who killed his devoted companion in the forthcoming thriller.
Rosser’s investigation into identifying the attacker leads him through the streets of Los Angeles and into the corrupt heart of the city’s police department, where he begins to uncover a vast conspiracy. Eckhart has had a long and successful acting career, playing such roles as Harvey “Two-Face” Dent in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight and Jason Reitman’s 2005 satirical black comedy Thank You for Smoking, for which he was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture in a Comedy or Musical. The role of Cary in AMC’s animated science fiction series Pantheon was his most recent acting credit.
In addition to Muzzle, he has the post-production films The Bricklayer, Rumble Through the Dark, and Ambush, as well as the pre-production thriller Afterward, directed by Dito Montiel and starring Aaron Eckhart. Muzzle also stars Stephen Lang, Diego Tinoco, and Kyle Smithson in addition to Eckhart. Production on the forthcoming action thriller Muzzle concluded in August, and now Highland Film Group is in charge of international sales. Stalberg Jr. will take charge behind the camera, while Carlyle Eubank will create the narrative based on their shared vision.
In addition to directing, Stalberg Jr. also works as a producer on the picture alongside David Frigerio, Ford Corbett, and Tim O’Hair of Broken Open Pictures. The timeframe for the release of Muzzle has not yet been revealed.
