Fans of the CW show All American may rejoice, as a trailer for the next fifth season has been released one month before the show’s launch. On Monday, October 10 at 8 pm ET/PT, the CW will air the season debut of All American: Homecoming, the second instalment of the critically acclaimed American sports drama series co-created by Robbie Rogers and Jon Wallace. Spencer (Daniel Ezra) and Jordan (Michael Evans Behling) are just two of the many returning cast members, and the teaser promises plenty of sports and romance conflict. First, we see scenes from a football game, and then all of a sudden, Simone (Geffri Hightower) walks on screen.
She’s revealed to have come back for the holidays, and everyone is shown having a good time. Jordan’s line in the following scene, “Christmas is a time for coming together, and forgiveness, and stuff,” hints that the Jordan/Simone narrative isn’t done just yet. The rest of the trailer doesn’t give much away, although there are glimpses of passionate kisses, deep talks, and exciting sporting moments. There is currently no official synopsis for Season 5 of All American, but the previous season left off with hints of a breakup between Spencer (Tyler James Williams) and Olivia (Samantha Logan), Coop (Bre-Z) pursuing a career in criminal justice, and Olivia developing a news story that could have dire consequences for the football programme at Golden Angeles.
There’s a good chance that all of these storylines will be developed when Season 5 begins. No big cast changes have been announced for Season 5 of All American, so fans can be certain that the regular cast will return. Greta Onieogou, Cody Christian, Karimah Westbrook, Monet Mazur, Taye Diggs, and Jalyn Hall will also be appearing, in addition to Ezra, Evans Behling, Hightower, Logan, and Bre-Z. The plot of the sports drama All American is partially based on the story of professional football player Spencer Paysinger, who moves from Crenshaw High to Beverly High and lives in both Los Angeles neighbourhoods.
As he juggles the two families’ drastically different lives, everyone begins to see the underlying similarities between them. For those who haven’t heard, April Blair’s All American is a brand new sitcom that will debut on The CW. Season 5 will be available to stream on TV services like FuboTV, Hulu Live with TV, and YouTube TV for individuals who don’t have cable. The new episodes will also be made available on demand the day following their first broadcast on The CW. Seasons 1-4 of All American can be viewed right now for free on the CW app or on Netflix if you want to get caught up before watching Season 5.
