The official trailer for season two of All American: Homecoming has been released, making good on the CW Network’s earlier pledge to bring back the show. The CW’s young adult sports drama will be back on the network on October 10, promising more tension as the students of Bringston University makes life-altering choices. The second season of All American: Homecoming introduces the topic of choice in the official trailer, which can be watched on the YouTube account of The CW Network. Damon (Peyton Alex Smith) claims he hasn’t made up his mind about transferring schools or continuing to play baseball for Coach Bringston (his biological father).
The teaser explains that Damon has just “forty-eight hours” to make such a life-altering choice and that the time is ticking because his decision will have consequences for more than just himself. Thea (Camille Hyde) tells Damon, “I thought we were establishing something serious here,” implying that his possible move may put their relationship in jeopardy. The teaser also hints at the return of certain bitter rivals in the upcoming second season. The warning is delivered as various characters, beginning with Thea and Simone in their long-running animosity, are seen to continue their fierce struggle (Geffri Hightower). Thea’s voice may be heard over a clip of her kissing Damon before the scene cuts back to the present when she is challenging Simone on the court.
Because of what was revealed about Damon and Simone’s love relationship last season, their competition is likely to go beyond the ladies’ tennis aspirations. This season, Thea is also recovering from a ruptured rotator cuff, and Simone is shown trying to establish her spot on the squad. If the trailer is any indication, Simone will not go down without a fight this season. So, let’s get going. However, the teaser also suggests that Damon and Jordan (who featured in the original All-American parent series portrayed by Michael Evan Behling) would be at odds with one another and may even resort to physical violence. The All-American series, created by April Blair, has aired for four seasons so far, with a fifth set to premiere in October.
At the beginning of the current year, The CW debuted Nkechi Okoro Carroll’s brand-new spin-off series. The show focuses on the athletic students of Bringston University, a historically Black university in Atlanta, Georgia. Simone and Damon both play crucial roles as we follow them on their journeys to the top of their respective sports. On Monday, October 10th, Season 2 of All American: Homecoming will premiere on The CW Network. Season one is currently streaming on Netflix.
