According to Deadline, Apple TV+’s The Morning Show has cast Tig Notaro for Season 3. The comedian will co-star with newcomers Jon Hamm and Nicole Beharie in a significant recurring role. The character of Paul Marks, the CEO of a major corporation, is played by Jon Hamm, while Amanda Robinson, played by Notaro, is his chief of staff. Witherspoon has previously described Paul Marks as a “media magnate” who gives “Billy Crudup a run for his money,” therefore we assume his chief of staff to be as intimidating as him.
However, no specifics about Notaro’s character have been revealed. It will be intriguing to see Notaro in this new role on a programme that has shown to be amusing. The Morning Show explores the professional and personal life of the staff of the news network, UBA, led by Jennifer Aniston as Alex and Witherspoon as Bradley. Season 2 followed the dramatic events of Season 1 by continuing to examine office politics, hidden romances, and cancel culture as the crew battled the virus. Several Emmy nominations have been made for Season 2 of the show.
Although the forthcoming season’s narrative and themes are still shrouded in mystery, the show’s new cast members have given viewers plenty of material with which to work. Season 2 ended with Cory (Curdup) declaring his love for Bradley (Witherspoon), and Season 3 will see the return of Julianna Margulies as UBA News anchor Laura Peterson, who was romantically connected with Bradley (Witherspoon). Expect high-quality drama, and maybe even a love triangle, with Margulies’ return. Beharie joins the cast as the show’s new anchor, the amiable and hard-working millennial Christina Hunter. Notaro is best known for co-creating and starring in the Amazon comedy series One Mississippi. Not only has she been in the comedy-drama Transparent, but she has also appeared in Star Trek: Discovery.
Her albums “Live” and “Boyish Girl Interrupted” were both nominated for Grammys, while “Boyish Girl Interrupted” was also nominated for an Emmy. Starring Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, Tom Irwin, and Marcia Gay Harden, Season 3 is now filming. Besides Aniston and Witherspoon, Charlotte Stoudt is also an executive producer and is in charge of the show’s narrative. Mimi Leder, Michael Ellenberg, Kristin Hahn, and Lauren Neustadter are the directors and producers, respectively. Season 3 has not yet been scheduled for release.
