Production on Sylvester Stallone’s “Tulsa King” Has Ended, Cast, Release Date & Synopsis & More

Sylvester Stallone stated in an Instagram video that filming for the first season of Tulsa King has concluded in Oklahoma. One minute in, Stallone addresses the cast and crew at the wrap party while dressed in a sparkling blue suit, bolero tie, and massive belt buckle. The actor, who kept his remarks brief, said, “I’ve never worked so hard in my life and had so much pleasure.” The result of our collaboration, he continued, “is astounding and life-changing for me.” Stallone stars as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a New York mafia capo who is banished to Tulsa, Oklahoma following his release from jail. The series was conceived by Taylor Sheridan of Yellowstone.

Early this year in March, filming began, and the Rocky actor said in the caption, “This was a very lengthy, demanding, amazing, mind-blowing production.” He then said, “it was a long time to be gone,” referring to the length of time it takes to film a television series, but that the wait was “worth it.” Furthermore, he praised the efforts of the actors and crew members shown on screen and off. After learning that his former mafia family may not have his best interests at heart, Dwight will reconstruct his criminal empire with an unusual gang in the series. Martin Starr, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, Jay Will, A.C. Peterson, Garrett Hedlund, Annabella Sciorra, Andrea Savage, and Dana Delany all appear in the show.

Stallone makes his TV starring debut in the criminal drama, which is produced by Taylor Sheridan (of Yellowstone) and Terence Winter (of The Sopranos). Sheridan is known for his tales of small-town crime, whereas Stallone is well known for his Philadelphia-based figure Rocky Balboa. The teaser for the series gives us a taste of the smart, humorous, and exhilarating results of their partnership. On November 13, Paramount+ will debut the first two episodes of Tulsa King after the launch of Yellowstone Season 5.

Synopsis
New York mob leader Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) gets freed from jail after 25 years and is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, without any fanfare from his boss. Dwight moves to a new city, one that may as well be on another planet, and slowly begins to assemble a “crew” of misfits to help him establish a criminal empire there.
