Rose Abdoo of “Gilmore Girls” Joins Season 2 of “Ghosts”, Synopsis, Release Date & Everything you need to know

The much-appreciated auto mechanic of Stars Hollow will return in season two of the CBS comedy Ghosts. Rose Abdoo, a former member of the cast of “Gilmore Girls,” will now be seen in the Woodstone B&B as a no-nonsense TV producer. Photos of Rose McIver and Abdoo together in Montreal last week sparked rumours that the two were dating, and TVLine has now verified that Abdoo will guest feature in Season 2 of Ghosts, but not in a supernatural capacity. She is recording the newest episode of her long-running TV programme, Dumb Deaths, at the Woodstone Mansion.

The actress posted photographs from the set to Instagram with the message, “Had the nicest time with this amazing cast.” “Roses, only a couple of them!” After travelling to Montreal, Quebec to film “Ghosts,” I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the lovely and brilliant [Rose McIver] lives in the same LA neighbourhood as me and is a fellow student of the amazing Zumba lessons taught by @kking dance1. CBS’s Ghosts, based on the smash popular BBC One series of the same name, premiered that year (2021). Sam (McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) are a young couple at the centre of a spooky comedy.

They acquire a magnificent country property and soon discover that it is haunted by spirits from various eras. Sam learns she can see the spirits of individuals who died on the property and now spend their days among restless squabbles while the couple pursues their ambition of operating a bed and breakfast. The ensemble, which includes Asher Grodman (Succession), Danielle Pinnock (Young Sheldon), Brandon Scott Jones (Isn’t It Romantic), Richie Moriarity (What We Do in the Shadows), and Rebecca Wisocky, manages to keep the show’s eerie concept lighthearted and funny (Devious Maids). Actress and comedian Abdoo, best known for her role as Gypsy on Gilmore Girls, played Josefina in 11 episodes of the HBO Max original Hacks.

She has also appeared on Saved by the Bell, a short-lived follow-up series to the popular ’90s sitcom of the same name, and the Dax Shepard-led ABC sitcom Bless This Mess. Abdoo will also play Selma on the new Hulu series Reboot, which follows the dysfunctional ensemble of a reimagined early 2000s family sitcom. CBS’s Ghosts will return for its second season on Thursday, September 29 at 8:30/7:30c, although the specific episodes that will include Abdoo have not yet been revealed.
