Bill Camp Joins the Cast of “A Man in Full”, Synopsis, Release Date & Cast Details

Deadline reports that Bill Camp has been cast in the lead role of the Netflix movie A Man in Full. Based on Tom Wolfe’s 1998 best-selling novel of the same name, Camp will co-star in the series opposite Jeff Daniels (American Rust) and Diane Lane (Y: The Last Man).
Atlanta real estate tycoon Charlie Croker (Daniels) is the protagonist of the upcoming drama series. Charlie must protect his real estate holdings from others who would profit from his decline. Camp portrays a debt collector named Harry Zale.

Zale is notorious for giving his clients a hard time. Zale “stands between whatever prospect Charlie has of preserving his firm,” as the character summary puts it. Camp’s television credits include the Emmy-nominated Netflix limited series The Queen’s Gambit and the critically acclaimed HBO limited series The Night Of. He’s also been in a tonne of movies, such as Joker, Vice, Molly’s Game, and 12 Years a Slave. Camp co-starred with Daniels in the Showtime series American Rust and was set to star in the upcoming adaptation of Salem’s Lot, but Warner Bros. decided to pull the film from distribution.

A new member of the series ever-expanding cast, Camp, has recently joined the fold. Lucy Liu (Why Women Kill), William Jackson Harper (The Resort), Aml Ameen (I May Destroy You), Tom Pelphrey (Outer Range), Sarah Jones (For All Mankind), Jon Michael Hill (Elementary), and Chanté Adams have already been confirmed as cast members (A League of Their Own). Netflix has ordered a full season of A Man in Full immediately after its debut in November. TV stalwart David E. Kelley and Oscar winner Regina King are behind the new series. Kelley, who will also act as the show’s showrunner and a writer, will take on executive production duties. Kelley’s resume includes such successful series as Big Little Lies, Boston Legal, The Practice, and Ally McBeal.

As part of her first-look deal with Netflix, King, who has appeared in films like The Harder They Fall and If Beale Street Could Talk, and on television shows like HBO’s Watchmen, will executive produce and direct three of the series’ six episodes through her production company, Royal Ties Productions. King’s first feature film, One Night in Miami, is set to be released in 2020. Previously, she directed episodes of critically acclaimed series including Insecure, The Good Doctor, Shameless, and This Is Us. There will be six one-hour episodes of A Man in Full. Netflix has not yet revealed when the show will premiere.
