On National Movie Day, movies will be available for a reduced price of $3

Theatregoers, you are about to receive the best offer of the year. On September 3, 2022, in honour of National Cinema Day, tickets will only cost $3 thanks to The Cinema Foundation. All movies, all hours, and all formats are included in one incredible package.
This one-day celebration, known as National Cinema Day, has nearly 3,000 cinemas and 30,000 screens offering special discounts to attendees. Movies from big studios including A24, Amazon Studios, Disney, Focus Features, Lionsgate, Neon, Paramount, Sony Pictures Classics, Sony, United Artists Releasing, Universal, and Warner Bros. will be featured in the programme, which will also include exclusive previews and unique in-theatre promos.

The Cinema Foundation’s president Jackie Brenneman gave a statement regarding National Cinema Day, She said, “We wanted to do something to commemorate moviegoing after this summer’s record-breaking return to cinemas, so we’re saying ‘thank you to the moviegoers who made this summer happen and giving an extra incentive to those who haven’t made it back to the theatres yet.” After this weekend’s box office was one of the lowest of the year, with only $54 million, the promotion might provide a much-needed lift.

The summer of 2018 has not been without its share of underperforming films at the box office. Top Gun: Maverick was largely responsible for the success of the domestic box office, earning $691 million there (and $1.4 billion worldwide) before its recent VOD release. Franchise films like Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ($411 million domestic) and Minions: The Rise of Gru ($354 million domestic) are among the other highest-grossing pictures of the summer, while original works like Elvis ($147 million domestic) and Jordan Peele’s Nope ($117 million) also did well.

If you want to see Spider-Man: No Way Home, The More Fun Stuff Version, or Maverick again before buying it on VOD, or if you just want to catch one of the new releases such as Honk for Jesus, you should get your tickets and book your seats right now. Whether you’re looking for a “Save Your Soul” or a “Breaking,” National Cinema Day provides what you need. Check out the National Cinema Day website for details, such as which theatres in your region are taking part and what movies are featured in the special deal. Keep an eye on your favourite theatre chain’s social media pages for deals like the $5 cameo combination that AMC Theaters recently launched, which consists of a fountain soda and popcorn.
