CBS has scheduled the crossover premiere of ‘NCIS’ and ‘NCIS Hawai’i’ for the middle of September:

The casts of NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i will join forces to hunt down a deadly criminal in a crossover premiere event that will air on CBS. NCIS: Hawai’i and NCIS: Los Angeles will begin their 20th season on the network with a two-hour launch. On September 19 at 9 p.m. ET, CBS and Paramount+ will premiere the series. NCIS will kick things off with a new season that begins up right where Season 19 left off, with Special Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole) and his ex-wife Vivian (Terri Polo) on the run after the former is falsely accused of fraudulent activity. Other team members are working nonstop to clear his identity and uncover any past links that might point to someone who wants to harm him.

NCIS: Hawai’i’s Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and Ernie Malick (Jason Antoon) are sent in to assist track down The Raven, the big bad extremist from last season who looks to be the leading suspect. On their way to meet with Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) regarding a global military plan, Jane and Ernie found themselves in the nation’s capital. As Tennant and NCIS’s Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Jessica Knight search for The Raven on Oahu, the event’s second half follows. With RIMPAC (Rim of the Pacific Exercises), the greatest international naval warfare military exercises in the world, in jeopardy, they’re on high alert. In addition to Gary Cole, Brian Dietzen, and Diona Reasonover, more NCIS cast members are expected to appear in the episode.

However, CBS is clearly having a good time advertising this newest crossover between the two series. You can see Lachey being continuously stopped by Valderrama as she tells everyone about a top-secret, fan favourite visitor arriving in Hawai’i in an exclusive People preview. After their Season 1 crossover, Valderrama and Law should be familiar with the NCIS Pearl Harbor team, so they should be able to work seamlessly with Lachey on this case. After consistently drawing large audiences for CBS, the NCIS series trilogy, which includes NCIS: Los Angeles, was renewed in March.

Even as it enters its second season, NCIS remains the top-rated broadcast show, with a whopping “95.8 billion potential social media impressions” in Season 19. After introducing viewers to the first female NCIS team commander in Lachey’s Jane Tennant, NCIS: Hawai’i tied for the #1 new drama. Back-to-back episodes of NCIS: Hawai’i and NCIS: Los Angeles will be shown on September 19.
