Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin’: Cast, Release Date, Trailer, and Everything You Need to Know

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is returning in a very genuine and sentimental manner! A juvenile murder mystery/thriller series developed by I. Marlene King from Sara Shepard’s YA novels, the original series is famed for its complicated narratives that grew creepier and weirder as the seasons progressed. “Who is A?” was the most often asked question by fans of the programme. People assumed that once they knew who A was, the motivation and cause for the years of damage and near-deaths would become apparent.

They were wrong. It’s questionable whether or not the series finale of Pretty Little Liars brought this kind of clarity and conclusion, but there’s no disputing that the seven seasons of the show presented a thrilling and emotional experience. Though the programme spawned several spin-offs, none of them reached the degree of mystery, voyeurism, and suspense that the original show possessed, leading to their cancellation swiftly. HBO, on the other hand, teased viewers in September 2020 with the news that A will be returning in the upcoming season of Pretty Little Liars, making this the most exciting season yet.

The release date and location of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin
Audiences were held in suspense after the initial short-lived short in 2020 (more on that below), with few clues about when the programme will truly broadcast. As of June 16, 2022, the show’s premiere date has finally been set for the following week: June 28. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is an HBO Max Original, which means it will only be accessible on HBO Max as an HBO Max Original.

What Is the Status of the Original Sin Trailer?
In 2020, the Pretty Little Liars Twitter feed uploaded a small clip that piqued the interest of the show’s fans. The reintroduction of the horrifying A persona to Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, an aspect that has been lacking from the other Pretty Little Liars spin-offs, is sure to please longtime and new fans alike. The tone of this spin-off appears to have captured the creepy, teen-drama mood that the first series achieved so brilliantly in this teaser trailer.

For Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, how many episodes are there going to be in the first season?
This season, like many others, is a 10-episode series. For the first time, a Pretty Little Liars show has been ordered to be streamed directly from the studio. Multiple-episode bundles will be used to distribute the episodes. Episodes one through three will be released on July 28th, and the remaining three episodes will be aired on August 18, 2022. Original Sin is a storyline in the Pretty Little Liars franchise.

As stated by HBO Max, the show’s official storyline is as follows:
After a series of horrific events occurred twenty years ago, Millwood has nearly torn apart. Present-day Little Liars, a diverse collection of young women, are being tormented by an unidentified assailant and forced to pay for their parents’ past transgressions as well as their own. Original Sin is a dark, coming-of-age, horror-tinged drama that takes place in a new town, with a new generation of Little Liars, miles away from Rosewood. A new group of friends faces its own assailant and tormentor in this episode, which does not take place in Rosewood or revolve around the original Pretty Little Liars. The show’s title, “Original Sin,” is now a mystery, but the Biblical connection and the involvement of the parents’ generation can lead to some educated assumptions as to what the show is about.

Do You Know Who Is Making Original Sin?
It was believed two years ago that Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the creator of Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, would be working with HBO on a new “horror-forward” version of the show. It has been suggested that Aguirre-Sacasa planned to revive Pretty Little Liars, making use of its spooky elements, after Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Because the programme has always had a slightly scary aspect to it, moving on with the series in this manner should make sense to its audience. This reboot’s writers, Calhoon Bring and Aguirre-Sacasa, previously collaborated on the first season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Executive producers of the project include Aguirre-Sacasa, Leslie Morgenstein, President of Alloy Entertainment, who is renowned for producing You, Gossip Girl, and The 100, and Gina Girolamo, who is also known for creating supernatural adolescent series and thrillers, as well as participation with them. Bailee Madison (Bridge to Terabithia) as Imogen, Chandler Kinney (Lethal Weapon) as Tabitha, Zaria (Black-ish) as Faran, Malia Pyles (Baskets) as Minnie, and Maia Reficco (Bridge to Terabithia) as Noa are the new Liars. Mallory Sharon Leal, Elena Goode, Lea Salonga, Eric Johnson, Carson Rowland, and Alex Aiono will all be appearing in the show.

Is there anyone from the original cast of Pretty Little Liars involved in this?
Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and Mona (Janel Parrish) will not feature in the reboot, according to Lucy Hale, who portrayed Aria in the original. No original cast members appear in the HBO Max synopsis, which isn’t unexpected given that the new show introduces high school students in a new town, but in the same fictional universe as Pretty Little Liars. Despite the initial displeasure of the crowd, this decision gives the play its own room to flourish without being subjected to continual comparison with the original. If the trailers are to be believed, the show’s tone will aim to evoke nostalgia for the original series while retaining a fresh take on the storyline. Before watching the new season of Pretty Little Liars, you may catch up on the previous seven seasons on HBO Max to refresh your memory or just immerse yourself in the enigmatic universe.
