Shiny Espurr and many varieties of Shiny Deoxys are on the way to Pokémon GO, thanks to Niantic’s expansion plans. All of this, as well as the previously mentioned Johto Tour event, will be arriving at Pokémon GO in February.
Some of the most sought-after Pokémon in Pokémon GO have alternate forms.
Popular Pokémon like Shiny Gyarados, which can be difficult to locate even during their respective events, are notorious for their rarity as palette swaps. In addition, many Pokémon have acquired special outfits or headgear for specific occasions, including Pikachu, which has dozens of different outfits. In Pokémon GO, not every Pokémon has a Shiny form, therefore Niantic frequently updates the game with new possibilities to catch newly introduced Shinies. ‘ Shiny Espurr and all Shiny Deoxys will be available in Pokémon GO starting in February, thanks to Niantic. Espurr’s pink Shiny form can be found in encounters between February 1 and March 1.
Throughout the second half of February, Deoxys will return to five-star raids, and this time its Attack, Defense, and Speed forms will all be Shiny. Gym Photo Discs will also grant two free Raid Passes each day from February 16 through March 1. In February, Pokémon GO players can look forward to a slew of new events including Spotlight Hours. To kick off the month, a Lunar New Year event and a Valentine’s Day event will be held, with the latter introducing an evolutionary line of Fairy-type Pokemon to the game.
Litleo, Spritzee, Koffing, and Voltorb will all be featured in the Spotlight Hour every Tuesday of the month. Pokéball-themed events will be held before the Johto Tour at the conclusion of the month. Niantic appears to be placing a lot of emphasis on February and the Pokémon GO Johto Tour, despite the fact that not all of Pokémon GO’s special events have been successful. When compared to previous tournaments, the Kanto Tour was a surprise success.
There is a strong likelihood that this Tour concept will be rolled out to other regions as well as different generations of Pokémon in the future by Niantic. For the time being, participants can take advantage of the several tournaments taking place in February without worrying about whether or not that strategy is a long-term success.
