Grand Theft Auto: Vice City may be coming to PlayStation Now for a limited period of time, according to an early PlayStation Store poster. The remastered version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was the first game to be added to Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Now on the day the collection was published, making the collection more accessible to a wider audience.
On December 7, over a month after the GTA trilogy was launched, Sony’s PlayStation Now made Grand Theft Auto III remastered available for the PlayStation 4; this allowed gamers on both consoles to readily obtain a title from the much-anticipated collection. Following a stirring announcement in October, the long-awaited GTA trilogy remaster was released in November last year on consoles and PC. Rockstar’s PS2 period favourites have been restored for today’s gamers to enjoy with new features and refinements.
Due to a high number of game-breaking bugs and performance concerns, the remastered GTA trilogy has received a backlash from fans. This was worsened by the Rockstar Games Launcher crashing immediately after its release. The remastered collection is no longer broken as it was during its disastrous launch since Rockstar Games has pledged to send updates to fix many of the challenges gamers are experiencing. Numerous PlayStation users have claimed to have noticed an ad for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City The Definitive Edition on the PSN Store, which could indicate that the game will be available on PlayStation Now until May 2, 2022.
User billyallen88 on Twitter has provided a screenshot of what appears to be an advertisement for Vice City on PlayStation Now with the description indicating that it will run through May 2, 2022. In a similar vein, another user stumbled across the same ad in the Portuguese ship on the same day, which suggests that the leak is true. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was released in 2002 and brings the series to Miami, Florida in the 1980s, where Vice City is situated. Much of this game’s success can be attributed to how well it incorporates a variety of new elements into an already established franchise while maintaining the series’ trademark open-world feel.
GTA Vice City is regarded as the greatest remaster of the GTA remasters in terms of looks and performance, despite its many flaws. As evidenced by these ads appearing on the PlayStation Store, it’s possible that this game may be available on PS Now sooner than originally anticipated. There has been no word from Rockstar Games on whether or not the leak is accurate. However, the fact that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City follows Grand Theft Auto III in the series suggests that Vice City may be coming to the PS Now.
