It’s in the Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla DLC called “Odin.” Ubisoft has just announced a new DLC expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that promises more than 35 hours of new content that includes the Norse gods. Assault Creed Valhalla has been getting a lot of rumors about a huge new story campaign called “Dawn of Ragnarök.” Insiders have compared it to Sony’s critically-acclaimed God of War reboot from 2018.
Valhalla, which came out last November, told the story of Eivor Varinsdottir, a customizable Viking warrior who had to build a new settlement for his clan in what is now known as the British Isles. It was set between 872 and 878 AD. It’s been a long time since the first major story DLC expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla came out. Wrath of the Druids pitted Eivor against a cult known as the Children of Danu in 879 AD Ireland. The Siege of Paris, which was inspired by a real-life Viking raid against French ruler Charles the Fat, came out in 2012. Ubisoft has added a Discovery Tour mode and more dungeons called Tombs of the Fallen to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It looks like more story content will be added soon, like a crossover with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey that will see Eivor meet Kassandra.
A recent blog post on PlayStation.com talks about Ubisoft’s two-year plan for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It also shows that Dawn of Ragnarök will be out in March. As the Nordic God Odin, players will fight to keep Asgard safe from the combined power of Jotunheim’s frozen giants and the demonic forces of Muspelheim, led by Surtr, who is Odin’s archenemy. This new story will put players in the role of Surtr. If you play Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Dawn of Ragnarök, Ubisoft says you’ll play for about 35 hours across a new map that’s about one-third the size of the main game’s England. If you follow the official Twitter account of the game, you can see the trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök below.
He also needs to rescue his son Balder from Surtr’s forces and get the Dwarves of Svartleheim to help him save the Nine Realms of Asgard from being destroyed. When you play Odin in Assassin’s Creed, you’ll be able to use a variety of supernatural powers that fit the role of the Allfather of Nordic Myth. When he defeats enemies in battle, the Crow can transform into one to sneak up and kill them quickly. He can also use the powers of those enemies to help him fight. Assassin’s Creed Sofia Producer Mariana Gosteva says that these skills will give players new ways to think about how to use Odin’s powers and add a new layer of fun to the game.
So far, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been well-received by fans and critics. It even became one of the best-selling games in the series’ history. It’s likely that Dawn of Ragnarök will build on that success. Eivor was able to glimpse into their ancestor Odin’s memories in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but it looks like Dawn of Ragnarök will finally put players in the role of the Allfather.
