Improved shadows, reflections, and NVIDIA DLSS support are all featured in a new God of War PC Features teaser. The Popular 2018 title from Sony Santa Monica features former Greek God of War Kratos and his young son Atreus on a big adventure. For the first time, God of War will be available on PC in January 2022, after the announcement made back in October.
2018’s God of War marks a new beginning for the storied action franchise, which was formerly exclusive to the PlayStation 4. In the first God of War game, released in 2005, players took on the role of Kratos, a Spartan demigod. Kratos, driven by vengeance and fury, decimated the Greek pantheon and the land of Greece as a whole. Atreus, Kratos’ son, was a major plot point in the 2018 episode, which moved the story into Norse mythology. While Kratos is trying to educate Atreus on how to survive, Atreus is also helping Kratos rediscover his humanity. God of War’s upcoming PC edition will have Nvidia DLSS compatibility, as well as additional enhancements, including a widescreen panoramic display mode.
Using a powerful computer, the Norse adventure becomes even more beautiful, as shown in an official God of War PC Features clip released to YouTube by IGN. Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling, which makes use of artificial intelligence to accelerate graphics performance, is one of the exciting new features in the impending rerelease. God of War’s violent fighting will be even more responsive thanks to NVIDIA Reflex support. Improved reflections and higher-resolution shadows will help immerse PC gamers in Kratos and Atreus’ arduous quest even more. PC upgrades appear to further enhance these epic moments, as shown in the teaser, which features some of God of War’s most breath-taking scenes.
While the PC version of God of War will provide a slew of visual enhancements, many players are more interested in customizing their gaming experience. Steam mods for God of War are likely to arrive immediately after the game’s release date on January 14th, and many are already anticipating some unique additions. Some of the more bizarre PC hacks proposed by gamers include making Kratos wield a lightsaber, transforming him into Mortal Kombat’s Scorpion, and turning the Leviathan Axe becomes Stormbreaker from Avengers: Infinity War. Mods for God of War will surely enhance the game’s more lighthearted moments, despite the game’s tendency to be dark and depressing.
The Norse saga’s visuals have always been stunning, but God of War’s impending PC edition is sure to boost the ante. The Realm Change Room, one of the game’s most visually stunning locales, will look even better thanks to the addition of enhanced shadows and reflections. As a result of the inclusion of Nvidia Reflex, PC players will be able to take on Kratos’ speed and strength like never before.
