Boruto sets the stage for Code’s first major confrontation

With the release of the latest chapter, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has set the stage for Code’s first major confrontation in the series! Code had always been one of the most enigmatic members of Kara, since it was unclear what he was after. However, it was finally revealed that he was the last member of the Inners to survive following Isshiki Otsutsuki’s defeat and he was the reason for this. However, now that he has been given a new purpose in life as a result of the death of the Otsutsuki, he has began to make his presence known in the series’ most recent episodes.

Code had been holding off on attacking Kawaki and the Hidden Leaf Hamlet because they were under much tighter surveillance. However, with Kawaki having gone rogue and fleeing from the village, this was Code’s opportunity to strike, and he headed to confront Kawaki directly on the battlefield. In this latest chapter, however, the stage is being set for the former Inner’s first major battle in the series, as Code begins fighting against Kawaki and Boruto as their two Karmas begin to resonate with one another in the series’ latest chapter.

The series’ previous instalments showed Kawaki pleading with Code in an attempt to persuade him to sacrifice himself in exchange for leaving the rest of the Hidden Leaf Village alone. However, in Chapter 63 of the series, it is shown that Code has absolutely no desire in doing so. He wants Kawaki in exchange for his present working pact with Eida, and he still intends to use Boruto as a sacrifice for the Divine Tree in order to expand his own latent Otsutsuki power, as well as to increase the power of the Divine Tree. In the following chapter, it is shown that Boruto is just as unable to defeat the former Inner as Kawaki was earlier.

Moreover, Code’s use of Karma is considerably more refined than Boruto’s at the time, and the latter even admits to having a slew of new tricks up his sleeve as a result of the way the seal amplifies their powers from the Otsutsuki Clan’s previous experiences. However, this battle is far from done, as Code’s use of Karma and his sheer might have driven Boruto to the point where he can only rely on his own Karma force to survive.

This means that the next episode will have the first actual confrontation between Boruto and Code! What are your thoughts? Are you looking forward to discovering what Code’s White Karma is truly capable of? In the comments section, please share your thoughts on the subject.
