Even though we just got a taste of their abilities in the last episode, things really heated up at the conclusion of this one when Yoruzu transformed into a huge bug-humanoid beast and Sukuna called upon Mahoraga.

Jujutsu kaisen Chapter 217: A Review

Yoruzu and Sukuna started the previous episode, titled “Bath: Part 2,” at a stadium, preparing to fight. Both Sukuna and the former asked him why he wasn’t reverting back to his original appearance. The two then began to battle; Yoruzu made the opening move, but Sukuna was quick to avoid his strike. Yoruzu was able to protect herself when he kicked her. According to Yoruzu, Angel was present as well, but Sukuna didn’t feel his presence. Yoruzu questioned the reasoning behind this, and then she answered her own question by explaining that it was due to her feelings for him. She continued by saying she preferred to either murder him herself or meet her end at his hands. Yoruzu probed him about his prize offerings.

In response, Sukuna told her that he would do whatever she wanted with his dead corpse since he was willing to do it regardless of the outcome of the conflict. When Yoruzu begged Sukuna whether she may marry his dead body, he said yes. Yoruzu was so overjoyed by this news that she announced she would burn three towns as the celebration and adorn them with the dried heads of the most gorgeous boys from each community. When Sukuna inquired about Uraume, she told him that her favourite dish was Monkey Brain Potage and that Uraume would make it for her. Sukuna resumed the fight by releasing her Heavenly Dogs, but she was still easily able to avoid their assaults. She tried to defend herself by enclosing Sukuna, but he was able to break free.

Yoruzu ceased combat and questioned whether or not the technique he had just employed belonged to his vessel and not to himself. Sukuna confirmed her suspicions and then questioned him why he wasn’t utilizing his own CT. The reason, Sukuna explained, was that he planned to make Megumi deeply regret killing his own sister in order to totally submerge Megumi’s soul. When Sukuna’s future wife found out that he had touched her with someone else’s CT, he became enraged, and she told him that he would need to use Malevolent Shrine (Sukuna’s own Domain Expansion) to beat her. Then we found out that, with the exception of Special Grade Tools, Yoruzu’s CT allowed her to conjure whatever substance she desired. By the chapter’s close, she transformed into a new creature with armoured skin, wings, and an insectoid visage. The opposite is true for Sukuna, who called upon Mahoraga.
