On March 5, 2023, Boruto episode 290, titled “Presence,” was published. The most current volume is based on the manga’s 61st through 63rd chapters. It shows how Kawaki resented being watched all the time and how he eventually rebelled against it. Many viewers will remember Kawaki’s extreme distress in the last episode, in which she even had nightmares about Code. He has an accurate understanding of Kara’s final Inner capabilities and does not fear or disrespect him. If Kawaki is successful in making a deal with Code, viewers may expect the action to flare up in the upcoming episode. It’s nice to see an uptick in animation quality after several lacklustre episodes.
Kawaki’s desperation to safeguard Naruto and Leaf Village is shown in episode 290 of Boruto.
Both Boruto and Kawaki are now under observation.
Kawaki first spots Nishi in the distance at the start of Boruto episode 290. Boruto notes that the shinobi makes no effort to conceal himself, suggesting that he will be rendered useless in combat. On the other hand, he is a sensor, and his job is to keep an eye out for any threats and inform the crew so that they can deal with them. As an advocate for the village’s sensing unit, Inojin argues that in order to evade them, one must first eliminate their chakra signature.
This dialogue takes place between Shikamaru and Amado. During talking, Shikamaru accuses Amado of plotting something big in Boruto episode 290. Amado says that he is caught off guard by recent occurrences like Kawaki’s fixation with the Hokage.
Kawaki abandons his hometown
When Nishi watches Kawaki take out the garbage at night, the normally cautious Kawaki does something out of the ordinary: he jumps into a shrub and hides for a few seconds before making his way back inside. Eida verifies to Boruto that the strangeness he sensed was indeed Kawaki hiding his chakra. The Otsutsuki have an innate talent for such sort of thing. Kawaki, hiding in the bushes, had dispatched a shadow to double to enter the home. When Naruto finally tracks him down, he has already left town.
It’s a showdown between Kawaki and Code.
Code quickly finds Kawaki with the help of Eida’s keen vision. The two had a brief fistfight before they settle down to talk. When Kawaki finds out that Code plans to kill four individuals from the Leaf Village, he informs Code that he is responsible for the death of Isshiki and that he alone should bear the consequences. Code calls the idea ridiculous and explains that he plans to grow the Divine Tree and eat the Chakra fruit it produces in accordance with the wishes of the Otsutsuki. Every living thing on Earth will perish when the Divine Tree eats its life force or chakra.
Suddenly, Boruto shows in, interrupting Code as he brings Kawaki to see Eida. Kawaki, despite Boruto’s intervention, remains intent on meeting with Eida, despite his ignorance of who she is, in the hopes of saving the lives of everyone in the Leaf Village, most importantly Naruto’s. After giving him a good whack, Boruto announced his intention to shield him.
A short summary of episode 289 of Boruto.
Kawaki’s nightmare in Boruto episode 289 was about Code chasing him. Once he regained consciousness, Amado informed him that he was still Isshiki’s vessel and that he must seek out a Karma that he could only wield as a weapon in order to save the Seventh Hokage.
At a later conversation with Sumire, Amado demonstrated his cunning once again by admitting that provoking Kawaki was also for personal reasons. As all was going on, Eida discussed plans for the future with Code and woke up Daemon, her cyborg sibling. With his exceptional ability to reflect back on his opponent’s purpose to murder him, Daemon effortlessly dispatches the guards at Boro’s facility.
