For those who had been wondering how Kisaki Tetta and Hinata Tachibana were linked, their relationship was clarified in the fifth episode of Tokyo Revengers season 2. Meanwhile, Takemichi and Chifuyu made some ground with their plot to thwart Hakkai. In the prior episode, we saw Mitsuya make a deal with Taiju Shiba to allow Hakkai to join Black Dragon in return for Yuzuha’s release. Takemichi and Chifuyu resolved to halt the Black Dragon after Hakkai reiterated his intent to murder Yuzuha, but they were only aided by Kisaki Tetta and Shuji Hanma.
In the fifth episode of season 2 of Tokyo Revengers, Takemichi ends his relationship with Hinata. The fifth episode of the 2nd season of Tokyo Revengers is named “Christmas Eve,” and it begins with Kisaki requesting Takemichi to respond to his and Hanma’s team-up proposal since he hates wasting time. Takemichi and Chifuyu joined forces with Kisaki and Hanma against the Black Dragon when they realised no other option existed. The following day, as Takemichi was on his way home from school, he was greeted by Hinata and Naoto, and the three of them later visited a garden.
There Takemichi was reminded that he and Hinata had something planned for Christmas, which may interfere with their efforts to thwart Hakkai. Naoto, however, cut them off because he had already decided to return home rather than spend any more time out of his day. Takemichi was suddenly reminded of Kisaki, and the identical words came out of his mouth. In this conversation, Hinata disclosed that she had previously known Kisaki Tetta, having attended the same elementary school as her before drifting apart in middle school. Takemichi astonished Hinata by saying that Kisaki is now a captain in Toman; nonetheless, Hinata believed that she and Kisaki could get along with Takemichi since he was a decent guy.
Takemichi was taken aback by this, but Hinata still had more to share with the audience as they learned more about the childhoods of Takemichi, Hinata, and Kisaki. Elementary school students Hinata and Kisaki once witnessed a group of kids bullying a cat. When Hinata stepped in to defend it, she became their target; Takemichi, disguised as a hero, then stepped in to save the day. And so it was that Hinata first met and fell in love with Takemichi. Takemichi learned that the day of his date with Hinata and the day of his quest to stop the Black Dragon were on different days as they were returning to their respective houses. Upon meeting Masato Tachibana, father of Hinata and Naoto, Takemichi was overjoyed. As a thug, he had no ill will against Takemichi, but he did want him to end things with Hinata.
Takemichi was taken aback by this, but Hinata still had more to share with the audience as they learned more about the childhoods of Takemichi, Hinata, and Kisaki. Given the reasonableness of Masato Tachibana’s request, however, Takemichi ended his relationship with Hinata on Christmas Eve. As she was beating up Takemichi for breaking her heart, Hinata was taken aback by this. Later, on December 25, Takemichi gathered with Chifuyu, Kisaki, and Hanma to plot their strategy for defeating the Black Dragon. As the audience saw Takemichi, Hinata, and Kisaki in their youths, he was taken aback, and Hinata still had more to tell.
