Season 3 of the popular anime series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime finally premieres. After a sneak peeks of the forthcoming anime movie That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, the news was made public. Scarlet Bond is the name of the film. This series, also known as TenSura, is widely considered a landmark in the history of the influential and wildly popular Isekai subgenre. The protagonist, a corporate worker named Mikami Satoru, is stabbed to death on the street and afterwards reborn into a fantastical realm. Satoru is reincarnated, not as a powerful warrior, but as the oddest and lowest monster imaginable: a slime.
The protagonist, now going by the name Rimuru, combines his human intelligence with the supernatural powers he is born with to become a Demon Lord and to create the rich kingdom of Tempest, a safe haven where monsters and humans may cohabit in harmony. Fuse’s TenSura, now widely regarded as one of the finest isekai series of all time, began off as a fantasy light novel series published in 2013. The first season of the anime premiered in 2018, and it became an instant smash, after the massive popularity of the novels and their manga adaptation (published by Kodansha in 2015).
A second season will be broadcast in 2021. Fans’ anticipation for the first film in the series skyrocketed after hearing the announcement. Unexpectedly, Season 3 of TenSura was revealed and a wonderful teaser image was unveiled during a Japanese early screening of the film, which you can enjoy in the gallery down below, courtesy of Crunchyroll. The third season of Reborn! as a Slime will include Rimuru’s most challenging struggle yet. Details in the appearance Rimuru, now a Demon Lord, faces Hinata Sagakuchi, one of the most formidable foes he has ever faced. Similar to Rimuru, the Japanese “Otherworld” and Paladin Hinata is the head of the Western Holy Church’s Ten Great Saints. All signs point to Saint-Monster Confrontation, the seventh book of the light novel series, being adapted into the third season of the anime.
The story’s title suggests that the protagonists, Hinata and Rimuru, will clash violently while embroiled in a scheme to bring down the city of Tempest. The release date and cast for Season 3 of TenSura are unknown at this time, although it is highly probable that the same company, Eight Bit, will return after successfully creating Seasons 1 and 2.
