Lyrical Media’s next post-apocalyptic thriller, Elevation, has recruited a slew of A-listers to star with George Nolfi in the director’s chair. Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Morena Baccarin (Deadpool), and Maddie Hasson are reportedly joining the cast (Malignant). The prospective film’s narrative details are yet unknown. It has been reported by Deadline, however, that the film Elevation would take place in the Rocky Mountains and follow a father and two ladies as they embark on a dangerous trip against horrible animals in an effort to save the life of a kid.
Elevation has the makings of a fascinating addition to the genre, thanks to the presence of a trio of great actors at the core of a potentially captivating plot. As filming gets underway, more information about the plot and the characters will become available. John Glenn (The Lazarus Project), who also acts as a producer on the picture with Brad Fuller, and the Seal Team writing team of Kenny Ryan and Jacob Roman are responsible for the script. Mackie is not only playing a major role in the film, but is also producing it alongside Ryan, Roman, Nolfi, Jeremy Kipp Walker, JoelViertel, and Alex Black of Lyrical Media.
Alex Ginno and Jon Rosenberg of Fuller Media, Natalie Sellers of Lyrical Media, and Jason Spire of Inspire Entertainment serve as executive producers. Along with the release of Elevation, on May 3, 2024, fans may see Mackie in the highly anticipated Marvel Studios picture Captain America: New World Order, in which he reprises his role as Sam Wilson, now wearing the mantle of Captain America. He also has future roles in Rupert Wyatt’s Desert Warrior and Peacock’s Twisted Metal, both of which are adaptations of popular video games.
The actor has been in a number of high-profile projects as of late, including the anthology series Black Mirror, the second season of Altered Carbon, and the psychological thriller The Woman in the Window. Besides appearing in both Deadpool movies, Baccarin has acted in the Batman-inspired TV series Gotham and the crime thriller The Endgame. A criminal thriller directed by Phillip Noyce, she will play the lead in his film Fast Charlie.
