The Warner Bros. The official trailer for House Party, Paramount Pictures’ planned remake of the 1990 comedic classic, has just been released. In contrast to the first film, which followed a group of high school students, this one centre on two concert producers in their twenties who, after falling on hard times, decide to throw a huge party at the house of a famous celebrity. Starring Tosin Cole, Jacob Latimore, Karen Obilom, DC Young Fly, and Scott Mescudi, the film also features those four musicians. To make ends meet as concert promoters, best friends Damon (Cole) and Kevin (Latimore) have to work other jobs, such as cleaning houses, in addition to their nighttime duties.
They are cleaning a mansion when they discover that they are actually in LeBron James’ home, a fact that is confirmed when they activate a hologram of James programmed to lavish praise on the NBA star. After deciding they could both use some additional income, the buddies propose throwing a lavish party at James’ place. The clip proceeds to reveal other shenanigans, such as a koala toking up on weed, as well as several intriguing appearances from legends like Snoop Dogg, Lena Waithe, and Lil Wayne.
This trailer suggests that House Party will be a lot of fun for anyone who enjoyed the original or who likes classic comedies in general. Calmatic, the winner of a Grammy for a best music video, makes his directorial debut with House Party. Stephen Glover and Jamal Olori penned the film’s script. This movie was produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter. Warner Bros. opted to shift its priority to theatrical releases rather than direct-to-streaming, hence the picture House Party was given a theatrical release date instead of its initial summer premiere on HBO Max. On January 13th, 2023, House Party will be released in cinemas.
