The action movie 72 Hours will star Cam Gigandet and Sam Trammell. The two actors will portray brothers in the next Christian Sesma movie. As per the Hollywood Reporter, work on the Toric Films movie has begun. The movie follows two brothers, one of whom is an FBI agent and the other of whom is a money launderer on a global scale. When their loved ones are in danger, they must put aside their differences and work together to carry out a daring rescue operation within the region controlled by a drug lord, presumably within the 72 hours promised by the title. Gigandet is a natural for action roles because of his Krav Maga black belt. After returning as Kevin Volchok on The O.C., he performed the attention-getting part of James Witherdale, the villain of the first Twilight picture.
Since then, he has starred in the films Easy A, the Magnificent Seven remake directed by Antoine Fuqua in 2016, Without Remorse, based on the Tom Clancy novel, and Ice, an Audience Network drama about diamond trading. He’ll be next seen in the action films Violent Night, starring opposite David Harbour as Santa Claus, Deep Six, co-starring Tom Welling and Tom Berenger, and Shrapnel, also co-starring Jason Patric. The actor Sam Trammell is best recognised for his role as the shapeshifting bartender on the HBO supernatural drama True Blood, but he has also appeared in Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, The Fault in Our Stars, and made a guest appearance as US President Ben Hayes in the finale of the Showtime series Homeland.
Moreover, he just appeared in The Order, a Netflix horror thriller. Trammel participated in this year’s family drama The Tiger Rising, and may next be seen in the George Foreman movie Heart of a Lion. Luke Goss and Val Kilmer starred in Paydirt, Mickey Rourke and Michael Jai White starred in taking Back, and Ryan Kwanten, Dermot Mulroney, and Dolph Lundgren starred in Sesma’s most recent picture, Section 8. Beacon Media and Toric Films, led by David Wachs and Ojan Missaghi (whose previous credits include the ridesharing horror film Ryde), will produce 72 Hours. The screenplay was written by director Sesma and actor/former police officer Sean Crayne. Sanchez wrote the original story (2 Fast 2 Furious, The Family Business, and Mrs American Pie).
The first episode of 72 Hours will be shot this month.
