Fans of the SYFY and USA Network series Chucky, the last countdown has begun till the launch of Season 2. There has been much anticipation for the release of Season 2 of “The Walking Dead,” and as of tomorrow, October 5th, viewers will no longer have to wait. Hopefully, you spent the weekend catching up on SYFY’s presentation of numerous films from the Child’s Play world and the first season of Chucky, but if not, the first season is presently streaming on Peacock, so go to it!
The Chucky series’ official Twitter has issued a message from the red monster himself, along with a teaser that includes previously unseen footage. Chucky (Brad Dourif) drops the crucial premiere details, including when we can watch “Halloween II,” the first episode of season two. While the teaser plays, we witness the returning trio of Jake (Zackary Arthur), Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and Devon (Björgvin Arnarson) adjusting to life in a Catholic reformatory. Some of the new films show a knife cutting through the plastic on a Good Guys Doll box while a narrator adds, “We don’t know how many Chuckys are out there.” Of course, it’s not the only one.
The lengthy line of boxes surrounding it suggests that it was transported aboard the truck driven by Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) and Andy (Alex Vincent) towards the end of Season 1. Several Good Guys dolls can be seen creepily creeping across the roof of the truck with blades in their hands and mouths á la swashbuckling pirates, proving that Chucky’s plot to dominate the world through possessed doll distribution is well underway, according to the new film. Last but not least, we see Chucky holding a bomb, followed by a huge explosion, suggesting that this season’s stakes will be higher than ever before. Based on everything we’ve seen and read so far, Season 2 of Chucky looks like a great continuation of the Don Mancini-produced brand.
Christine Elise, Fiona Dourif, and Devon Sawa will join the previously listed performers in returning for season two. Of the newcomers to the franchise, Lachlan Watson will play Glen/Glenda, the offspring of Chucky and Tiffany, whom fans first met in the 1980s but haven’t seen or heard from in almost two decades. Tilly’s sister, Academy Award nominee Meg Tilly, Bound co-stars Gina Gershon and Joe Pantoliano, and Tilly’s best friend, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Sutton Stracke, will all be in attendance. Chucky Season 2 begins TOMORROW, so make sure all the blades are put away and the doors are locked before you settle in for the next episode.
