When happened in Boruto Episode 269?
After Kae wakes up to see Kawaki pursuing an assassin in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 268: Target: The School Festival, Kawaki decides to accompany Kae to the festival rather than return to Naruto to report the incident. Boruto and the other students from his school are also there for the event. But on the day of the historical play’s last dress rehearsal, Hana Sensei gets a headache and has to visit the nurse.
Kawaki has no idea that a masked man is watching him from the roof, and everyone else is getting letters warning them of impending paper bomb explosions in 20 minutes. Boruto, Shino, and the rest of the class begin defusing the paper explosives, and Ehou reveals that Eiki has already done the same. Kawaki lends a hand, but ultimately he hands off care of Kae to Himawari. Himawari steps in to shield Kae from the assassin just as Kawaki enters, narrowly avoiding disaster. Kae begins to have doubts about Kawaki’s true intentions for her after a while.
