Production on Hellfire, a forthcoming action movie directed by Isaac Florentine and starring Stephen Lang (Avatar) and Dolph Lundgren (Creed II), has concluded, according to an exclusive source from Deadline. Deadline also says that the next film Hellfire will revolve around a mystery drifter (Lang) who tries to aid a little community that is suffering under the clutches of a powerful criminal leader. Lundgren’s role in the film is yet unknown.
The film also stars Scottie Thompson (12 Monkeys), Johnny Bosch (Ark Exitus), and Chris Mullinax in addition to Lang and Lundgren (Vanquish).
Also, starring is Michael Sirow (Fortress), Levon Panek (Dexter: New Blood), Natalie Canerday (October Sky), and Maurice Compte (Narcos), among many others. Fans of action-thriller films may want to keep an eye out for Hellfire, which has a huge and skilled ensemble and a plot that has the potential to be both compelling and action-packed. The screenplay is written by Richard Lowry, while Sasha Yelaun, Robert Paschall Jr., Daniel Lief, and Johnny Remo are the film’s producers.
Ronnie D. Lee, Sterling Griffin, Adam Sigal, Barry Rosen, and Frederic Demey serve as executive producers on the future production alongside Rob Simmons, Ante Novakovic, and Jeff Miller. Also in the executive producer role are Grant Palmer, Krystyna Swieka, Cecil Chambers, Seth Sklar, Keli Price, and Jenny Shakeshaft. Along with Hellfire, Lang will also be seen in his previous role as the ruthless Colonel Quaritch in this year’s Avatar: The Way of Water. Also in the works is a Lucky McKee-directed horror film called Old Man, in which the actor will play a major role. In addition, he will be appearing in the upcoming sports drama film Pep opposite James Madio and Ruby Wolf.
Aside from his role as Ivan Drago in the Rocky films, Lundgren will be seen again in The Expendables 4 as Gunner Jensen. In Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which will hit cinemas on December 25, 2023, he will reprise his role as King Nereus. In the same year, Lundgren will direct and feature with Kelsey Grammer in the forthcoming action picture Wanted Man. Hellfire is still in production, thus there is no confirmed release date just yet.
