Sony Pictures announced that a highly-anticipated theatrical film would soon be available on home video. And it’s racing toward digital media at a breakneck pace! The digital premiere of Bullet Train is scheduled for the next week, while the Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K UHD releases are scheduled for the following month. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released an exclusive trailer with almost an hour of added content from the future editions to hype up the release. Brad Pitt (Ad Astra) plays an assassin who, after a string of botched missions, opts for a low-key assignment where he could have more say over the outcome.
That won’t be possible, though, after he boards the fastest train in the world together with some of his toughest foes. David Leitch, whose previous credits include John Wick, Atomic Blonde, and Deadpool 2, serves as the film’s director. Stunts are an integral component of the extras since they can’t be missed by anyone seeing Bullet Train or any other film directed by David Leitch. A mini-documentary about the stunts, a featurette about the cast learning to play like expert assassins, and pre-visualizations of action sequences demonstrate the filmmaking process in its entirety.
The making-of-the-picture, an audio commentary, and outtakes are only some of the extras included in the special features section. The film Bullet Train is based on a novel by the acclaimed Japanese novelist Ktar Isaka. Zak Olkewicz adapted the script for the movie (Fear Street: 1978). Since its release in early August, the action-thriller ride has earned over $200 million throughout the world. Joey King (The Kissing Booth), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (The King’s Man), Brian Tyree Henry (Eternals), Andrew Koji (Furious 6), Hiroyuki Sanada (Army of the Dead), Michael Shannon (Nine Perfect Strangers), Benito A. Martnez Ocasio (F9), Karen Fukuhara (The Boys), Logan Lerman (Fury), Zazie Beetz (Joker), and Sandra Bullock round out the impressive (The Lost City). On September 27, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release Bullet Train for the first time on digital. Release dates for the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD versions range from October 18 forward.
