When Shanks asks Macro as he leaves the ship whether he plans to join the pirates, Macro says he’s had enough of playing babysitter and is leaving. The flashback begins after Marco has flown to Sphinx Island. Wanokuni is attacked by Ryokugyuu in a flashback. After the attack, Yamato explains that she has a responsibility to stay with the people of Wanokuni and won’t be joining the Straw Hats. Furthermore, she is concerned about the safety of people after the attack on Wanokuni and refuses to leave.
In the meantime, the following scene takes us to the island of ladies, the Amazon Lily, where we notice that a large portion of the island has been devastated. Gloriosa believes that it is the first time men have been able to infiltrate the island thus deep. It is because of her, Hancock tells Amazon Lily, that the island has been invaded, and as long as she is around, men will continue to invade. Another recollection begins with a Marine assault on the island. Even as Kuja launches a counterattack, the marines are able to breach the city’s fortifications. The Marines not only send Seraphim to the front lines throughout the invasion, but they also film the assault on the city. Simultaneously, a little girl with wings and a flame on her back arrives.
We can see that neither Marguerite nor Sweet Pea are interested in fighting a young girl. the girl’s pupils are shaped like stars as she suddenly begins firing a laser from her palm. Conversely, Blackbeard’s pirate ships materialise seemingly out of thin air. A tremor in the ocean moves the Marine vessels out of Blackbeard’s route and into the Amazon Lily, allowing Teach to land on the island with Catarina Devon and Vasco Shot. Catarina, in the following shot, wants Hancock’s skull as a prize. If Catarina can obtain Hancock’s power, then Teach says she is free to do anything she pleases. Vasco, meantime, advises they bring Hancock along with them in a conscious state. Teach’s subordinates, meantime, come to him for assistance in dealing with the white-haired, brown-skinned infant with black wings.
