Now that Maki has declared her health to be “good,” it appears that any delay would be futile. The spoilers that have been released reveal that Maki and Naoya will engage in another fierce combat. As was to be predicted by the audience, Naoya attempts to use his speed to overcome Maki by continuously increasing the speed of his moves. In contrast to their first encounter, Maki is able to easily keep up with him now and can even alter her course midair to avoid a hit. There have been leaks of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 197, which seem to indicate that Daidou and Miyo also start assisting Maki.
Miyo delivers her “Sixty-Four” assault, which is actually a vicious headbutt. Daidou, however, uses Maki’s sword to sever Naoya in two. Naoya seemed to have been surrounded by the three of them. Naoya, however, is able to pull through with his life after suffering a tremendous amount of injury. Naoya’s humanoid appearance is the result of his cursed spirit splitting in two. At the end of the chapter, he engages in Domain Expansion.

The events of Chapter 196 of Jujutsu Kaisen begin with Maki and Miyo exercising together as a means of relieving stress, and finish with Maki having trained her senses to the point that she instinctively feels the opponent’s shape as her own.
