Troll, a Norwegian horror thriller directed by Roar Uthaug (2018’s Tomb Raider), will premiere on Netflix on November 2nd. Troll may be skipping Halloween this year, but we still won’t have to wait long to see the gigantic titular creature when the film finally arrives on Netflix in December. Two individuals scale a vertical rock face in the new promotional poster. They had no idea that they are standing on the massive granite face of a monster right out of Norse mythology. A creature “made of earth and stones,” with “icy bones” and a “snowclad hearth,” as shown in the movie’s teaser, serves as the basis for the film’s title Troll.
The Troll will also be at risk from the Sun, which causes its body to stiffen and freeze in place when it is exposed to daylight. Troll’s plot will follow that of countless other monster movies by showing us what would happen if an impossible foe were to invade our world. Once the mountains begin to move, some unlucky researchers will have to face a genuine creature that has the potential to demolish entire towns with the might of its monolithic arms.
To prevent the Troll’s rampage from reaching the Norwegian capital, the film follows the soldiers and scientists as they scour ancient mythology for answers. Although we got a peek at the giant in the first teaser, the poster gives us a much better look at the Troll’s visage. The success or failure of a creature’s feature hinges on the ability of its principal monster to engage the target audience. To top it all off, Troll appears to be an entertaining experience. The Motion Blur duo of Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud are responsible for producing Troll. The creators’ previous collaboration with Netflix was on the horror thriller Cadaver. Espen Auka wrote the script, which Uthaug directs.
The actors Ine Marie Wilmann, Mads Sjgrd Pettersen, Kim Falck, Gard B. Eidsvold, and Pl Richard Lunderby all appear in Troll. The Netflix original film Troll premieres on December 1. Something enormous, dormant for a millennium, emerges from the depths of Dovre Mountain. The monster is closing in on the Norwegian capital, destroying everything in its path. But how do you put a stop to something that you believed only existed in Norwegian mythology?
