Superman & Lois Season 3 will include Chad L. Coleman (The Orville) in an unspecified role, as recently announced by David Ramsey (John Diggle on The CW’s Arrowverse and frequent director on various DC television projects). The Direct first reported this after attending the DragonCon panel “Arrow Guests: Saving Star City” on September 3. Coleman, according to Ramsey, will be joining the show as a significant antagonist, but the nature of that role has not been disclosed. Direct speculates that he will play Bruno Mannheim, the boss of Intergang, who was referenced by John Diggle in the season two finale.
This seems logical, given that the events of the previous season looked to be leading up to the introduction of Mannheim, but it is still just conjectured until his position is disclosed. Coleman will not be making his Arrowverse debut as a villain; in 2016, he starred in four episodes of Arrow as Tobias Church. Cutty from The Wire, Tyreese Williams from AMC’s The Walking Dead, Klyden from The Orville, and Fred Johnson from The Expanse are just some of his other prominent TV roles. Superman & Lois is a sitcom starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as the Man of Steel and Lois Lane, respectively, as they try to juggle their respective roles as superheroes and journalists with their roles as spouses and parents.
They also have a pair of adolescent kids, Jordan Kent (Alexander Garfin) and Jonathan Kent, who was originally portrayed by Jordan Elsass in seasons one and two but will be recast in season three due to Elsass’s departure for personal reasons. The programme is created and overseen by Arrowverse veterans Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti. Colman is the latest addition to a group that already includes series regulars like Hoechlin, Tulloch, and Garfin, as well as recurring cast members like Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, WolĂ© Parks, Dylan Walsh, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Sofia Hasmik. It has been announced that the third season of Superman & Lois will premiere on The CW sometime in 2023, and the previous two seasons are already accessible to view on the network’s official app.
