Cavity Colors Releases 40th Anniversary Collection Honoring ‘Halloween III: Season of the Witch’

It’s the 40th anniversary year for a slew of classic horror movies. There are few horror movies as revered as 1982’s The Thing and Friday the 13th: Part 3. However, Tommy Lee Wallace’s Halloween 3: Season of the Witch is undoubtedly the most overlooked picture of 1982, and it has happily attained cult classic status since its premiere. Cavity Colors is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the release of “Season of the Witch” with a special line of nail polishes. Five terrifying movie designs are featured over a range of t-shirts, sweatshirts, and sweatpants in this collection. The first is a stylized rendition of a classic orange and red movie poster, with the movie’s recognisable witch mask slowly emerging from the Season of the Witch emblem.

One of the most chilling images from the video is the shadow of three trick-or-treaters walking under them, blissfully ignorant that this is their last night on earth. This pattern is also available on a baseball shirt and a tee. The following illustration depicts children waiting for the “grand giveaway” in front of the TV while wearing traditional Halloween masks such as a witch, pumpkin, and skull. But they can’t run for long since a Silver Shamrock clock is counting down to their demise. It’s also worth noting that the TV is emitting bugs, a reference to a terrifying sequence in the film.

Both a black and a purple tie-dye version of this pattern are on offer. The next option is a hoodie featuring a simple orange print of a witch, pumpkin, and skull. As has been previously noted, these masks are practically as recognisable as Michael Myers’ mask and are therefore inextricable from the film. It only goes to show how effective a single, straightforward picture can be. Some of the most unsettling moments in horror history include youngsters wearing these masks.

Every lover of the horror genre has an image of them seared into their brain, and this sweatshirt does a great job of capturing their eerie appeal. These three masks also appear on a pair of sweatpants in the same collection. A snake joins the masks on one of the pants’ legs, making for a really one-of-a-kind look. The film’s logo is printed on the opposite leg of the pants. Tom Atkins, the film’s lead, is seen in the final stunning artistic design amid the shattered remains of the Silver Shamrock and pumpkin-shaped televisions bearing the opening credits logo from Season of the Witch. Children wearing Silver Shamrock masks are depicted above this image as victims of the toy manufacturer.

The film’s tagline, “The Night No One Came Home,” is also included in the design. A play on the slogan for the 1978 version of Halloween. It’s possible to get this pattern on both a tee and a sweatshirt. For a long time, the popular public ignored Season of the Witch for being unfairly maligned for not including Michael Myers. Despite the film’s initial failure, horror fans have now welcomed this tremendously horrific atmospheric nightmare because of the series’s decision to move in an anthology path following Myers’s death at the conclusion of Halloween 2.

This film’s innovative take on wicked businesses and its contemporary examination of Halloween and witches set it apart from its contemporaries. This is one of the finest renderings of Halloween ever, thanks to the classic performances of Atkins and Dan O’Herlihy, the superb musical soundtrack by John Carpenter and Alan Howarth, and the numerous surprising plot twists. Especially the cliffhanger conclusion and the Silver Shamrock theme tune will have you screaming with joyous fear.

It’s up there with the original Halloween in terms of terrifying originality and is easily one of the finest horror movies ever created. Cavity Colors has released a new enchanted collection to honour the witchy season. On Tuesday, August 30 at 5:00 PM ET, the 40th Anniversary collection will be made available for purchase. The good news is that Halloween 3: Season of the Witch is available for rent on all of the main VOD sites, so you can start planning your “horrorthon” right away.
