If you’re a fan of the anime series Spy x Family, you’ll be happy to know that the website for the show has announced the debut date for the second half of the season, which will consist of 25 episodes. The Forgers, Loid (Takuya Eguchi) as Agent Twilight, Yor (Saori Hayami) aka Thorn Princess, and Anya (Saori Yuki) aka the prettiest little Esper you’ll ever meet, are the protagonists of the manga series Spy x Family by Tatsuya Endo, which the anime adapts (Atsumi Tanezaki).
Part 1 concludes with the episode “Penguin Park,” which establishes the central conceit of the story: the members of this fictitious family are keeping devastating secrets from one another. Obviously, the new bright billboard depicts Anya in its centre, grinning broadly while wearing a blue winter coat and flashing the peace sign. A cast of both familiar and unfamiliar faces surrounds her. Part 1’s enormous white dog, first shown in the penultimate episode “Stella,” is also featured prominently in the picture. The TOHO distribution organisation in Tokyo said in December 2017 that Spy x Family will be split in two.
The popular Manga series was adapted into an anime by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, which made its debut in April of this year. Kazuhiro Furuhashi is in charge of directing the series; he previously helmed the 2019 Dororo for MAPPA. The character designs were created by Kazuaki Shimada. He shared the role of Chief Animation Director with Kyoji Asano. The director of photography was Akane Fushihara, the editor was Akari Sait, and the sound designer was Shji Hata. Besides the three Forger siblings, the Japanese voice cast also includes Kazuhiro Yamaji as the show’s most dapper male lead Henry Henderson, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Loid’s right-hand man Franky, Kensho Ono as Yor’s brother Yuri, Natsumi Fujiwara as tsundere Scion-boy Damian Desmond, and Emiri Katou as Anya’s friend Becky Blackbell. Episode 13 of Spy x Family, “Stop the Terrorist Bomb Attack,” will air for the first time on October 1. Part 1 features 12 episodes and is available on Crunchyroll and Hulu for streaming.
