In Olivia Wilde’s upcoming psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, Harry Styles will portray the spouse of Florence Pugh, and in Michael Grandage’s My Policeman, he will play a gay policeman in 1950s Britain, making him a key player in two of the year’s most anticipated films. Later this summer, the films will debut at the Venice and Toronto film festivals, two of the most famous in the world. There has been much speculation regarding the musician’s next endeavour, but he recently told Rolling Stone that he has no plans to do “a movie for a long.” Dunkirk, Christopher Nolan’s 2017 World War II blockbuster, marked the first cinematic role for Styles. He was also a candidate to play Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis film.
Styles made his superhero debut last year as Thano’s brother Eros in the post-credit scene of the MCU film Eternals. The actor has stated, “I don’t suppose I’d make a movie for a long,” which contradicts the widespread assumptions about the number of films he has committed to and his reported involvement in a Star Wars production. He denied the rumours that he had any part in the production of Star Wars, saying, “That’s the first I’ve heard of that.” False, I would guess. As a member of the boy band One Direction, Styles gained fame before he became an established actor. His 2017 solo album, Harry Styles, was an international success, entering the charts at No. 1 in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
Songs like “Sign of the Times” and “Watermelon Sugar” have propelled him to the top of the charts, and he hasn’t slowed down since. Speaking of his preference for music production over acting, Styles said, “But when you’re doing music, something’s happening. A lot of creative energy is released, and things get fed. Acting entails a lot of waiting around and doing nothing. It’s a decent job overall if that’s the worst aspect about it. But that part just doesn’t do it for me at all.
At the moment, it’s fun, but I don’t see myself doing it often. But Styles hasn’t ruled out returning to the spotlight in the future. There will be times when I really want it,” he said. On September 23, you may catch him in the new movie Don’t Worry Darling.
