The Continental, a prequel series to “John Wick,” will debut on Peacock, Synopsis, Cast, Release Date & Everything you need to know

The highly anticipated spinoff series The Continental will be moving to a new platform, giving fans something to look forward to as they wait for the return of Keanu Weaves as the eponymous character in next year’s release of John Wick: Chapter 4. Starz has decided to move the prequel series The Continental to the streaming site Peacock, where viewers may watch the drama online whenever they choose. The series will centre on the hotel The Continental, run by Winston Scott, which serves as a neutral meeting place for members of the criminal underworld in the movie (Ian McShane).

The series will follow young Winston, played by Colin Woodell (The Flight Attendant), as he navigates the criminal underground of 1970s New York and strives to grab control of the hotel. Kelly Campbell, President, Peacock & Direct-to-Consumer, commented, “The John Wick films have become a worldwide sensation, are among the most watched movies on Peacock and we are happy and honoured to join with Lionsgate to prolong this fantastic series.” The premiere of The Continental will be the streaming event of the year, as “we understand the value of a global franchise” and “Val Boreland and team knew that by bringing this special event series to Peacock and putting the full power of NBCUniversal behind it, the premiere will be the streaming event of the year.”

Ayomide Adegun (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes), who will portray a younger version of the hotel’s concierge Charon, will co-star with Woodell in the series. In the movies, Lance Reddick played Charon. Peter Greene (The Mask) is playing Uncle Charlie, Mel Gibson (Braveheart) is playing Cormac, and Ben Robson (Vikings) is playing Frankie. Miles, played by Hubert Point-Du Jour (Dr Death), will also star in the series with Jessica Allain (The Laundromat), Mishel Prada (Vida), and Nhung Kate (The Housemaid) in the roles of Lou, KD, and Yen, respectively.

The Continental has attracted a superb cast, and it promises to be a thrilling instalment in the successful action series. The Continental will premiere on Peacock in 2023, perhaps coinciding with the release of John Wick: Chapter 4. No exact premiere date has been given.
