Apple TV+ has ordered a series of Ridley Scott’s “Sinking Spring.” Release Date, Cast, Synopsis & More

Sinking Spring has been given a series order by Apple TV+. Ridley Scott, who has won both an Oscar and an Emmy, and Peter Craig, who wrote Top Gun: Maverick, have teamed together for this new programme. Brian Tyree Henry, a candidate for both an Emmy and a Tony, will star in the show. The series was only announced today, thus there is no launch date specified at this time. The plot of Sinking Spring revolves around two Philadelphia best friends who, in order to plunder a rural estate, pretend to be DEA agents. However, when they act on the plan, the little theft will become an immediate threat to their lives.

One of the largest drug pathways on the East Coast will be exposed when the two buddies gradually pull the threads apart. Dope Thief, by Dennis Tafoya, is the source material for the show. Writing and exec producing all eight episodes of the series is Peter Craig, making this his first foray into television. A single episode of the show will be directed by Craig as well. Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan, and Clayton Krueger make up the executive producing team of Scott Free Productions.

Tafoya will be the series’ consulting producer, while Henry will also act as executive producer. Apple’s collaboration with Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions has grown with the addition of this series. The agreement grants the production business early access to all Apple TV+ original programming. This is the second collaboration between Henry and Apple. This news comes after it was revealed that the Apple Original Film Causeway will debut in cinemas and on the Apple TV+ app later this year.

Henry also plays a major role in the last season of Atlanta, created by Donald Glover. In addition to his work with Brad Pitt, Henry has a starring role in Bullet Train. The film Bullet Train has recently been released in cinemas. Peter Craig is the son of legendary actress Sally Field and is a novelist and screenwriter in his own right.

He has contributed to such franchises as The Hunger Games, The Town, and the 2022 box office sensation The Batman, which starred Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, a millionaire playboy turned vigilante. The project was just revealed, so there will likely be further details and casting announcements in the near future. We may have to wait a bit to see this project through to completion.
