Jasmin Savoy Brown Shows Off a Set Photo From ‘Scream 6’: Synopsis, Release Date & Cast Details

From the set of Scream 6, Jasmin Savoy Brown has uploaded two photos on the image-centric social networking app BeReal. Savoy Brown can be seen in the foreground of the photos, as her co-star Hayden Panettiere reads Sarah J. Maas’s A Court of Thorns and Roses in the makeup chair behind her. The fifth edition in the Scream horror film series, SCREAM, reenergized the brand earlier this year. Mindy, portrayed by Savoy Brown, was a local of Woodsboro and a close friend of Tara Carpenter, portrayed by Jenna Ortega, the new last girl of the series.

The new film follows Mindy as she recovers from the attack she endured at the hands of Ghostface, and the sequel will presumably follow her and the other survivors of the last massacre as they leave their hometown for a new life in New York City. Kirby Reed, played by Panettiere, is a fan favourite and returns in the latest instalment after evading Ghostface in Scream 4. The horror film SCREAM was a huge success at the box office and with critics, earning $140 million on a budget of only $24 million and receiving a 76 per cent fresh rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are both back at the helm for the sixth instalment of the Scream series. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick are back for the sequel. Original series creator and writer Kevin Williamson are also involved this time around in the executive producer role. Gillett disclosed in a prior interview: “Scream could go in a lot of exciting directions from here, and we all know that Guy and Jamie have some fantastic ideas for those directions. The only thing we want is to be a part of it all.

If you’re like me, and you’ve had a life-altering experience with a group of people that not only inspires you creatively but also fills your heart and fulfils you in ways you never imagined possible, you probably want to have as many more of such experiences as possible.” The original cast from the first five films returns for Scream 6, including Savoy Brown, Hayden Panettiere, and Kenny Ortega, as well as Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, Melissa Barrera as Sam Carpenter, and Mason Gooding as Mindy’s twin Chad. Neve Campbell, who played the role of “final girl” in the first Scream, will not be in this instalment. The sixth instalment of the Scream franchise is scheduled for a March 31, 2023 debut.
