New ‘Alien’ Show Will Stay True to the Mood of the Preceding Films in the Series: Release Date, Cast, Synopsis & Everything you need to know

The Hollywood Reporter said that FX chief executive John Landgraf has given fans additional details about the impending Alien franchise television series after reports that the show’s scripts are complete. Current plans for the series, which has Fargo creator Noah Hawley attached to the helm, to take place in the future on Earth. Landgraf also assures us that the programme will have its own unique spin by shifting the spotlight away from the franchise’s established Weylan-Yutani conglomerate and onto a new dubious business.

Regardless, Landgraf assures fans that the show will go back to the franchise’s traditional values. “I’m a great admirer of Alien and Aliens, and I remember watching both of those in the cinema and how astonishingly innovative and stunning each of them was in its own way,” said Landgraf of the impending series. The executive continued, “And so, similar to his approach to Fargo, Noah has decided not to take Ripley or any other character from Alien, except for the xenomorph itself — but go back to figure out what made the franchise so great & so durable in the first place, & see if he could experience like walking into a theatre & seeing one of those first 2 movies, where you get caught off guard.

Unfortunately, that’s all I can say right now. After the divided reception to previous films like Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, fans are eager to hear more about the future movie, and Landgraf’s promise that the series may return to its original roots is more than enough to get them interested. Due to the involvement of a skilled showrunner, the Alien series has the makings of an intriguing and horrifying new series for fans to anticipate when it hits streaming services. In 1979, Ridley Scott produced the first Alien picture, which became an instant hit at the box office and among critics because of the film’s suspenseful plot and innovative alien design.

A sequel, Aliens, directed by James Cameron and also released in 1986, received comparable praise and introduced additional action to the series as well as expanded the mythos by adding the Alien Queen, a mainstay of the franchise ever since. In addition to Hawley’s series, there is a new feature in the works with Fede lvarez attached to the helm. Fans of the franchise can soon return to the nightmare that proved that in space, no one can hear you scream, as production on a new season is set to begin in 2019. There is currently no air date for the show because it is still in the planning phase. When it finally premieres, the Alien series will make its online debut on Hulu under a working title.
