Season 2 of ‘The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers’: Release Date, Synopsis, Cast & Everything you need to know

It’s time for another Quack Attack! When The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers returns on Wednesday, Sept. 28, it will be for Season 2. This morning, Netflix confirmed the debut date for the second season of Lauren Graham’s inspiring sports drama series (Parenthood, Gilmore Girls). The Mighty Ducks are back in the current day as a fierce young hockey club in Minnesota in this fan favourite series, a prequel to the legendary Mighty Ducks movies from the 1990s. This season, Alex Morrow (played by Graham) and the Mighty Ducks return to the ice with their team-with-heart and their coach Alex Morrow (played by Graham).

A summer hockey academy in California provides the players with the opportunity to hone their hockey talents without having to worry about schoolwork interfering with their practice schedules. Josh Duhamel (Transformers, When in Rome) has been cast as Gordon Bombay, the coach of the Mighty Ducks, in place of Emilio Estevez (The Way and the original Mighty Ducks flicks). As Colin Cole, Duhamel’s role is a charismatic former NHL player-turned-coach who oversees the school’s tough training programme.

Cole is a seasoned hockey player who will reportedly mentor the young Ducks in the next second season. “Can you win summer as our Ducks attempt to survive in this super-competitive environment?” According to the season’s official summary. Brady Noon (the voice of Greg in the 2021 Diary of a Wimpy Kid), Maxwell Simkins (The Sleepover, Bizaardvark), Swayam Bhatia (Succession, Master of None), Julee Cerda (Blindspot, Manifest), Luke Islam (Carlos in the upcoming film adaptation of 13: The Musical), Bella Higginbotham (Troop Zero) and Kiefer O’Reilly are also in the cast (Black Panther, The House with a Clock in Its Walls).

Cathy Yuspa and Josh Goldsmith, the show’s creators and executive producers, will return for the second season of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. ABC Signature will produce as well as executive produce the show with Graham, Steve Brill, George Heller, Brad Petrigala, Jordan Kerner, and Jon Avnet on board. This season’s Game Changers season 1 is presently available on Disney+ for streaming.
