The trailer for Vertical Entertainment’s forthcoming film Delia’s Gone, which features a murder mystery and a hunt for answers, has been revealed. Robert Budreu, the film’s director, and Michael Hamblin, the film’s co-writer, will premiere the picture in theatres on August 19. On the Vertical Entertainment YouTube channel, the trailer opens with a young woman called Delia being murdered (Genelle Williams). She was last seen by her brother Louis (Stephan James), who tries to explain to the police that he doesn’t know what happened to her in the film’s rough camerawork.
However, Marisa Tomei and Paul Walter Hauser, who portray the officers, show that they doubt him. Later, Louis is incarcerated for the crime. Louis confronts a guy, portrayed by Travis Fimmel, who purports to have knowledge regarding Delia’s death after a flashback sequence of Louis and his sister together. Emotional tension is on full display in the teaser as it shows Louis, following his escape, searching for the truth behind Delia’s death by questioning many suspects.
At the end of the trailer, Louis faces the same officers from earlier in the film, in what seems to be an intense encounter. Previews James’ powerful performance as he searches for clues to Delia’s murder in the trailer. Shows Louis’ inner agony throughout the film and teases James’ great acting performance. Tomei’s acting as a police officer on the hunt for Louis is also highlighted in the teaser.
It’s hard to guess whodunit from the trailer, but it does demonstrate that the hunt for the genuine culprit will be both emotional and intriguing. When the movie comes out in theatres later this month, we’ll know who’s responsible for Delia’s death. Delia’s Gone is co-produced by Budreau and Jonathan Bronfman and edited by Geoff Ashenhurst. The music for the film starring James, Tomei, Fimmel, Hauser, and Williams is composed by David Braid.
