Parenting may be difficult, so taking a vacation from time to time is a good idea. Kevin Hart plays a stay-at-home parent in Netflix’s new comedy Me Time, in which he longs for some alone time. Netflix has published a teaser for the upcoming debut in August. “Your best buddy brings out your finest self,” it teasingly claims. To begin, Sonny (Hart) and Maya (Regina Hall) describe their technique for caring for their children in the trailer. As a result of Sonny’s refusal to go out with his friend Huck (Mark Wahlberg), Maya offers to take the kids off his hands. Relaxing and low-stakes activities are how Sonny spends his time when his children are away.
He’ll soon be spending time with Huck, and the outcome is anything from calm. As the trailer progresses, viewers see the growing chasm between Huck and Sonny as he demonstrates how he defines a good time. In a faux Burning Man, they come face-to-face with highly protective wildcats, leap from cliffs, and so much more. As one of Sonny’s more tame pals points out, Sonny’s pranks with Huck have had a significant and beneficial impact on him, despite some legitimate concerns. Hart’s character Sonny, a stay-at-home parent who finally has some time to himself after years of being surrounded by his family, is the focus of Me Time.
Sonny reconnects with his former best buddy Huck when his wife and children are away for spring vacation. A sequence of exciting (and occasionally deadly) events between Sonny and Huck threatens to upend Sonny’s life throughout their time together. Based on the trailer, Me Time promises to be a crazy ride with plenty of laughs. Sonny and Huck’s Adventures in the Big Country indicates a film that doesn’t take itself too seriously, hoping that viewers would have fun following along with Sonny and Huck in their own homes. All-star cast members who are well-versed in the comedy genre are also included in the film.
Actors Luis Gerardo Méndez and Jimmy Yang co-star with Wahlberg and Hart in the film. The film’s writer/director/producer/co-stars are Bryan Smiley and John Hamburg, and Hart is a member of their team. Executive producers include Mark Moran, Joe Gatta, Lauren Hennessey, and Patricia Braga. Me Time will be available on Netflix on the 26th of August.
