Sadie Sink sprang to fame as Max Mayfield in the smash Netflix series Stranger Things. She then appeared in Taylor Swift’s directorial debut, All Too Well: The Short Film, as the voice of the lead character. Dear Zoe, her next film, has found a new home. It was directed by Gren Wells, written by Marc Lhormer of Bottle Shock and produced by and written by Melissa Martin, based on Phillip Beard’s novel. Zin Haze Productions, the production business of Lhormer and Brenda Lhormer, is responsible for the film’s production. Byron Allen’s Freestyle Digital Media has bought the film and set a release date for the autumn! Ahead of its November 4 theatrical and digital release, Sink appears to have found yet another intriguing character in which to sink her teeth.
In the role of Tess, who is dealing with the death of her younger sister, Sink has a remarkable ability to portray persons dealing with sorrow and suffering. The following is a synopsis: “As a teenager, Tess is dealing with the utterly devastating loss of her younger sister, Zoe (Mckenzie Noel Rusiewicz). Nick (Theo Rossi), Nick’s real father, and Jimmy (Kweku Collins), a juvenile delinquent who lives nearby, are two people who help Tes cope with the death of her mother, Jessica Capshaw, stepfather Justin Bartha, and sister, Vivian Lyra Blair.”
According to Freestyle Digital Media’s Head of Digital Film Distribution, Bill Vergos, “This is a universal narrative of grief and healing.” As with any great film, you get to experience a broad spectrum of emotions, and that’s how we decided we wanted to be a part of it. On top of everything else, Sadie’s performance is superb. Moreover, based on the film’s synopsis, it’s evident that Sink’s performance will shine through in this one. That, and the fact that you’ll be working with such an impressive group of people? What a fantastic idea! In the wake of the Stranger Things Season 5 finale, Sink has taken a new step with Dear Zoe, and it will be interesting to watch where each of the young cast members goes following the Netflix series. Despite the fact that Sink is a skilled actress, we are eager to see what she brings to the character of Tess in Dear Zoe.
