Untold: The Girlfriend Who Didn’t Exist, a documentary series on American football great Manti Te’o’s famed Girlfriend Hoax, has its first official trailer on Netflix. The first five episodes of Untold, a Netflix-exclusive sports documentary series, were published last year. Breaking Point (Episode 1), focuses on tennis pro Mardy Fish; Episode 2 (Untold: Crimes and Penalties) focuses on former hockey franchise owner James Galane and his son, A. J. Galane; Episode 3 (Untold: Malice at the Palace) focuses on what is known as one of the most infamous brawls in NBA history; Episode 4 (Untold: Deal with the Devil) focuses on female boxer C.J. DeJesus; “This highly acclaimed series provides fresh views to big tales from the broad world of sports,” says Netflix of its Untold series. These aren’t the stories you’ve heard before about anything from football to basketball to streetball to sailing.
Starting with a critical moment and then delving into the stories of people who were there, each video premieres weekly and reveals the grit, tenacity, tragedy and success as related by those who were there.” In Untold Volume 2, four new stories, including The Girlfriend Who Didn’t Exist, will be published.
