Spoilers For Episode 1017
Ahead of One Piece episode 1017, a teaser showing Luffy, Kid and Law preparing to take on Kaido and Big Mom was teased. To battle these enormously powerful adversaries, each of them will unleash their most devastating tactics in the forthcoming edition. Instead of adapting the entirety of chapter 1001, the writers of episode 1016 decided to incorporate a filler scene in which Sanji is shown attempting to flee Black Maria.
The rest of chapter 1001 and an anime-only scene will almost certainly be included in the episode 1017 translation. Sanji’s tale will likely be continued, maybe through the adaptation of canon stuff that will be shown early in the anime. Second, another Straw Hat or group of Straw Hats may be shown coping with a crisis that has arisen during the interval. Another interesting fact is that just four pages of chapter 1001 were left untouched by episode 1016.
It’s almost probable that episode 1017 will feature pages from chapter 1002, which makes up almost half of the issue.
With the help of their captains, Zoro and Killer will get more involved in the battle, and their efforts will shine through. Episode 1017 of One Piece will continue the widely anticipated adaptation of Roof Piece with an intriguing and interesting storyline. Pacing issues have resurfaced, although this is to be anticipated from a weekly animation with just 47-48 chapter gaps to the source material.
It’s also worth noting that the quality of animation in subsequent episodes has made up for the sluggish pace of the Wano arc. The inclusion of anime-only sequences over completely adapted chapters is still aggravating, but these decisions are once again required to keep the series as a weekly animation running.
