A problem in Pokémon Legends: Arceus has been discovered by a player, causing some areas of the map to “explode” at will. Just a few weeks ago, the latest Pokémon game was launched, and both gamers and critics are praising it for its fresh take on the classic model. Pokémon games are incredibly well-liked, yet few would claim that they are the most innovative or creative in the gaming business. Most of the games in the series have a similar structure: Obtain a starting Pokémon, capture a few dozen others, level and evolve the ones you have, then fight members of a formulaic hostile troupe.
Thanks to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the franchise has been given a much-needed makeover, transforming it into a more modern open-world experience. For the first time ever, players will be able to aim and toss Pokéballs at Pokémon in a way that more properly reflects the idea of being a Pokémon trainer in the game’s many famous species. Although Pokémon Legends: Arceus looks to meet Nintendo’s usual high standards of refinement, it is realistic to think that a new release would have a few unforeseen snags thus early on in its life cycle. When Twitter user onion alerted gaming publication Dexerto to a bug in the game, the news spread quickly.
By going around the NPC known as Irida, viewers may notice that parts of the map in the backdrop become larger in an unsettling and jarring fashion. These components appear to grow in size as the player circles around Irida, it would appear. If this is an ongoing problem or a one-time occurrence for onion, it is a one-of-a-kind in-game incident. Lucky for Pokémon Legends: Arceus, this issue doesn’t appear to be overly intrusive and appears to be easy to ignore.
Later, onion tweeted to support Pokémon Legends: Arceus and to warn others against using their video as ammo. A tiny inconvenience such as this should only be viewed as a nuisance at best, according to onion. In the grand scheme of things, this little issue pales in contrast to those seen in AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077. Game Freak, the game’s creators, will almost certainly fix these and other bugs in the coming weeks. There isn’t a lot of time for those who want to explore the new world of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
