OlliOlli World, a skateboarding game that opens next week, will have a special guest: actor Danny Trejo. Actor George Lopez, 77, is well-known among die-hard fans of cult films like Grindhouse and Machete, as well as sitcoms like The Flash and Rick And Morty. Recently, Danny Trejo played a grizzled Rancor keeper in Disney Plus Star Wars spin-off The Book Of Boba Fett, which supplies the eponymous bounty hunter with a new pet to replace the one murdered in Return Of The Jedi. Many video games have used Danny Trejo’s distinctive raspy voice throughout the years, including Def Jam: Fight for New York, where he appeared as a malevolent enforcer in 2004.
Umberto Robina in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City & its 2006 spin-off, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, and Fallout 4’s Battle Royale mode all feature Trejo’s voice and likeness as the Cuban mob boss. In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, players can even take control of him in the FPS’s battle royale mode. As an extra in the Far Cry 6: Danny and Dani vs. Everybody DLC, Danny and Dani band up to take revenge on Antón Castillo’s army for refusing to allow them to manufacture food for those in need.
In many of Danny Trejo’s on-screen appearances, the cult star portrays shady crooks or well-intentioned characters with a dark and violent history. In the forthcoming OlliOlli World, Danny Trejo will appear as a non-playable character (NPC). As a virtual skateboarding playground for want tobes, Radlandia, his in-game persona is based on himself and maybe found somewhere in the vibrant and colourful metropolis.
A special item for your character may be obtained by finding Danny Trejo, who will offer you a task to accomplish in exchange for your efforts. Roll7’s OlliOlli series of colourful 2D skating platformers, OlliOlli World, is the third game in the series, after OlliOlli 2 and OlliOlli 2014. Expansive environments, branching storylines, and an extensive range of OlliOlli World character customization options are all part of the game’s goal to build on the formula established by its predecessors and allow players to jump, flip, & grind their way through Radlandia in their own unique style.
For its more expressive visual style and colourful narrative of a group of pals attempting to build a reputation for themselves as skateboarders, OlliOlli World has received high marks from early reviewers. Seeing well-known actors like Danny Trejo give his skills to forthcoming video games is always exciting, but it’s even more so when the game in question is one that gamers aren’t expecting to see the actors in at all. When OlliOlli World starts on February 8, players won’t know where Dany Trejo’s cartoonish avatar is or what task he will offer to anyone who discovers him.
