Bully 2 is real, according to renowned insider Tom Henderson, and might be revealed at The Game Awards 2021. Fans have been screaming for Rockstar Games’ fabled successor to Bully since the mid-2000s, but due to other projects being prioritized and then the soaring success of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2,,, many began to lose hope. Bully 2 appears to be in the works, and players will learn more about it sooner rather than later.
According to rumors, Bully 2 was shelved for GTA 6, another long-awaited release that Rockstar has allegedly been working on for years. Rockstar allegedly attempted to make Bully 2 several times but never progressed far enough in development. There have been countless rumors throughout the years about the game possibly returning, but it appears that it is finally happening.
Bully 2 was believed to be a likely revelation at The Game Awards 2021, according to insider Tom Henderson, and some people have seen a “playable version” that signals a near reveal. To add to the intrigue, Game Informer Blake Hester teased something related to Bully 2 on Twitter on December 13. As of now, all of this is just a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt, but it is one of the more optimistic signals that Bully 2 is in the works.
Bully 2 has supposedly been canceled several times, but it appears as it may finally materialize. Because Rockstar has so many distinct teams, it’s likely that this game is being developed alongside Grand Theft Auto 6. Although Red Dead Redemption 2 was mainly a team effort, Rockstar recently bought Ruffian Games and renamed it, Rockstar Dundee. This company may have branched off to help produce Bully 2 and bridge the gap between Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 6.
If Bully 2 is true, it appears that it will be released within the next few months. The company is notorious for avoiding huge events like The Game Awards and E3, so it’s possible that it was considered for the announcement, but Rockstar finally felt that it was better to keep the attention kept for itself. Rockstar has yet to even tease Bully 2, but perhaps there will be some news in 2022.
